An ecommerce Google Ads audit that answers one question:
are the ads making money?
Most audits are a screenshot tour — quality scores, impression share, a list of settings to toggle. Ours answers the only question your P&L cares about: how much of your ad spend is producing contribution margin, and how much is producing revenue theatre?
Request your auditWhat we actually examine
Margin reality vs reported ROAS.
SKU-level margin applied to last quarter's paid orders. This one table usually reorders your "best" campaigns entirely.
What your conversion signals are teaching Google.
Primary vs secondary actions, value rules, whether the algorithm can see profit at all — or is being trained to chase thin-margin revenue.
PMax structure and control.
Campaign segmentation vs commercial logic, brand cannibalisation, negatives and exclusions, asset group coherence.
Feed condition.
Titles, attributes, custom labels, margin labelling — the layer most audits skip and most performance problems live in.
Spend governance.
Where the marginal pound goes, and whether anyone would notice if it returned nothing.
Search term and budget distribution quality.
Where the budget actually lands across Shopping, PMax and Search, which queries are buying it, and what share is brand traffic you already owned.
What you get
A written commercial read — what's actually happening, what to change, and the expected P&L impact — plus the SKU-level profit table. Not a settings checklist. You can hand it to us, your in-house team, or another agency; it's built to be actionable either way.
The honest terms
It's free, but it isn't a teaser. It is ten working days of analyst work with a deliverable you keep, which is exactly why we cap it at four per month and turn down brands that don't fit. We audit ecommerce brands spending £15k+/month on Google Ads.

What does an ecommerce Google Ads audit include?
Account structure, conversion tracking verification, budget distribution, bidding strategy, Shopping and Performance Max assessment, search term quality, competitor positioning and product feed condition, all read against SKU-level contribution margin. You get a written commercial read plus the SKU profit table, and a walkthrough of the findings.
How much does an ecommerce Google Ads audit cost?
Nothing. It is free, but it is not a teaser: it is roughly ten working days of analyst work with a deliverable you keep. That is exactly why we cap it at four per month and turn down brands that do not fit.
Is the free audit just a sales pitch?
No, and there is a simple test of that. We ask for your cost file before the scoping call, because an audit without COGS, shipping and return rates is a settings checklist, not a profit analysis. If you never speak to us again, the audit still tells you which SKUs are funding the account and which are quietly draining it.
How long does the audit take?
Around ten working days from receiving account access and your cost file. Catalogues above 10,000 SKUs or multi-market setups can take slightly longer.
What is the minimum spend requirement?
We audit ecommerce brands spending £15k+/month on Google Ads. Below that threshold the methodology is not cost-effective for either side, and we will say so rather than take the meeting.
Do you audit Performance Max and Shopping campaigns?
Yes, and they get the deepest scrutiny, because 60 to 80% of ecommerce spend usually sits there. Asset group segmentation, feed quality, audience signals and whether PMax is harvesting brand traffic it did not earn.
What is the difference between ROAS and POAS?
ROAS measures revenue per pound spent. POAS measures profit after COGS, shipping, returns and fees. A 4x ROAS can be close to zero profit. We audit for POAS because that is the number that reaches your bank account.
What happens after the audit?
You get a prioritised action plan ranked by profit impact. If you want us to implement it, we will. If not, you keep it and action it in-house or with another agency; it is written to be usable either way.
